Lots of new things to share!

I have so many things to share I almost don't' know where to start! First up is this little recycle project. These were socks of mine that got holes in the heels. I used the hole for my thumb. I finished the edge and did a dart on the palm to make them look better and fit properly. I finished the finger edge and they were done! What a great way to extend the life of your favorite pair of socks!

Next up are my new sock project bags and matching stitch holder bags. The ONLY place to get these is by joining my Sock Yarn Club :) This 100% cotton set is as small as it is functional for one sock project to fit with the necessary accessories. I have hand dyed these to match and there will be other colors to come.

The next thing I have been working on is developing the perfect crochet sock pattern. I think I have done it! As soon as I finish the 2nd sock and test wear them for awhile I will introduce it as a crochet sock yarn kit to my shop. I can't wait. Here it what it looks like right now. This is approx the same thickness as a standard knitted sock!!!

This natural wool purse is my other recycled project. I bought a wool sweater from a thrift store years ago with the intention of unraveling it and using the yarn. This was before I started my shop. It has sat there for all these years. I had already used the yarn from the sleeves some years ago and had the front and back. I sewed them together, formed a bottom, and crocheted straps and a closure and then felted the whole thing. I am so pleased with the finished result! The first two pictures below show the closure.

You can see inside I attached a cell phone holder up high so I can get to my phone easily and a pink cotton panel serves as a pocket to hold small things. I also attached a small metal loop to hold my keys. I have to have this in every purse or I would never be able to find my keys!

Below you can see the straps with a cute little lamb button as adornment:)

And lastly, the full view of the front.
